The devlopment of dress decorated with hmong cross-stitch for teenagers
Abstract
The objectives of this research were to develop dress decorated with Hmong cross - stitch for teenagers and to study customer satisfactions towards dress decorated with Hmong cross- stitch for teenagers. Sampling groups are 400 teenage ladies aged from 15 years old up to 25 years old living in Chiang Mai. Tools used are questionnaires and dress decorated with Hmong cross- stitch prototype in the amount of 9 different models by using random sampling. The collected data were analyzed by using statistics on percentage, mean and standard deviation.
The results of the research showed that most of the respondents aged from 21-23 years old which their educations were in bachelor level and occupations as students earning income less than 10,000 Baht/month. Most of them interested in Hmong cross- stitch and used to use products from Hmong cross- stitch and the objective of the purchasing is to give as souvenir in most cases. The drawback found from using the products made of Hmong cross- stitch was thread lint. Easy- care remained the reason of buying products derived from Hmong cross- stitch and beauty was the reason to buy dress. The price range to buy dress was 301฿ – 500 ฿. In addition, the result declared that the majority of respondents interested in dress decorated with Hmong cross- stitch as the result of promoting Hmong cross- stitch and enhancing the opportunities for teenagers to experience clothing made from Hmong cross- stitch. The analysis of respondent satisfaction towards dress decorated with Hmong cross- stitch for teenagers revealed that all models gained high level of satisfaction.
