Factors affecting the motivations for teacher occupation under the economic crisis condition
Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study factors affecting the motivations and study the relationship between private, intrinsic motivations and extrinsic motivations for teacher occupation under the economic crisis condition.
The subjects in this research were 374 graduates of the Faculty of Education from Rajabhat University and Rajamangala University of Technology in the Central Region. The instruments used in this research were questionnaires. The statistics utilized in this data analysis consists of fundamental statistics and the correlation by Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and Chi square. The results of the research are as follows : 1. Intrinsic motivations and Extrinsic motivations for teacher ceeupation had esteem, responsibilities characteristic, development and growth, compensation and security, the necessity towards teaching profession, attitudes towards teaching profession and interesting towards teaching profession were at a high level. 2. There was a significant, negative relationship between the garden, father's education and motivations for teacher occupation under the economic crisis condition at the 0.05 level. There was non significant relationships between age grade point average, parentail income, parentail expenditure, mother's education, parentail occupation and motivations for teacher occupation under the economic crisis condition at the 0.05 level.
