dc.description.abstractThis research study (Communication to Create the Imageof Public Relations Department through its Website) included three main purposes: 1) to study demographic characteristics of PRD’s website users which impacted on news exposure through PRD’s Website, 2) to study demographic characteristics of PRD’s website users which affected the Public Relations Department’s image, 3) to study the news exposure of PRD’s website users which influenced the Public Relations Department’s image. The participants in this study involved 400 people who have visited PRD’s website. To collected data, the researcher adopted electronic questionnaires as a research tool and also made use of Descriptive Statistic, Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation (S.D.) and Inferential statistics to investigate the relationship. Moreover, Chi-Square was implemented to test the hypotheses that the significant level was 0.05. The research results revealed that questionnaire responders mostly were 21 to 30- year-old males with a bachelor’s degree. Their occupations were government officers and public officers. The questionnaire responders mostly visited PRD’s website through the popular search engine: www.googel.com. Moreover, they usually visited PRD’s website six times a week and spent more than 30 minutes at a time between 7 p.m. – 12.59 a.m. The Public Relations Department’s image was in a very significant level. After testing hypotheses, the results showed that occupations were an influential factor on news exposure through PRD’s website. Gender and education background had an impact on new exposure and frequency of PRD’s Website usage. In addition, educational level influenced time spending on visiting PRD’s website. Occupations were related to the period of exploring PRD’s website. Furthermore, gender had an effect on PRD’s image and news exposure in terms of approaching channels to PRD’s website affected PRD’s imageen_US
