    Abstract
    The objective of this fashion thesis was to study women's clothing design in party wear style inspired by Thai Lacquer Art (Lai Rod Nam) in Ayutthaya era. The outstanding points of Ayutthaya era’s Lacquer Art: appearance and pattern of lacquer decorating Tripitaka cabinet were applied in connection to Khon costumes to create and design women's clothing in elegant and tasteful party wear style. The instruments included Ayutthaya era’s Lacquer Art analysis form, consisting of layout and pattern placement, and color use, Khon costumes analysis form, consisting of costumes layout, focusing on physical nature, and overall work analysis. The results of this study showed as follows. The author applied Thai Lacquer Art pattern decorating Tripitaka cabinet in Ayutthaya era including Kanok Pleaw, Kanok Ruang Khao, Pun Pruksa and pattern in animal figures to redesign and reorganize the work. Digital printing technique was use to press the pattern on the fabric to be applied to Khon costumes structure. This study focused on the design and development of clothing that is modern while remains the identity of Thai Lacquer Art.
