dc.description.abstract | This research aimed to investigate media exposure, awareness, knowledge, attitude, and behavior towards global warming and to study correlations among those factors that varied Bangkok metropolitan’s media exposure, perception, knowledge, and attitude on global warming. The 1,200 Bangkok residents were randomly selected from 12 districts out of 50 districts in Bangkok Municipality including 5 adjacent Provinces of Nakhon Pathom, Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan and Samut Sakhon.
The study found the following results:
The media exposure behavior concerning global warming was, in general, rated in medium level. People were daily exposed to television, yet other media: radio, newspaper, magazine, billboard, journal, brochure, internet, and personal media were exposure 3-4 days a week. Most respondents said publicizing on global warming in Thailand was in medium level. Awareness, attitude, and behavior against global warming were generally in high level.
The hypothesis testing showed that different gender, career, and housing varied the frequency of media exposure on global warming at statistical significance .05.
