The Needs of Infonnation about Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon among Bangkok Metropolitan Area

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the needs of information about Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon among Bangkok Metropolitan Area. It employs the quantitative research method using a questionnaire survey with the stratified sampling technique to collect 400 samples from the population of Bangkok Metropolitan Area. The statistics used for data analysis include frequency, percentage, standard deviation (SD), t-test of independence for two sample groups, and one-way ANOVA for comparisons of more than two sample groups. The research findings are as follows: 1. Most respondents are female between 18-22 years of age with the average monthly income of 5,000-10,000 baht. Their highest education level is a bachelor's degree, and most of them are students. They averagely have a very high level of needs of information about Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, particularly about the university's progression, change, and reputation through its own website as well as other relevent agencies' websites at most. The reason for their information exposure is to help them decide about applying for a degree course, a training and other activities held by the university. 2. Hypothesis testing results show that respondents with different ages, average monthly income levels and occupations siginificantly have different level of needs of information about Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon
