Quality of working life for lecturers in Rajamangala University ofTechnology Phra Nakhon
Abstract
The purposes of this research were to investigate quality of work life for lecturers in Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon each of six aspects : economics, healthy working condition, competency development, advancement, relationship with peers, and total life space ; and to compare the quality of work life in overall and each of six aspects among lecturers with different gender, marital status, work experience, educational level, and family income. The sample of the study consisted of 228 instructors in Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon in the academic year 2008. The instrument used for collecting data was a four - rating scale questionnaire with 62 items. Arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t - test, one-way analysis of variance, and Scheffe's method were utilized for dada analysis. The results of the study indicated that: 1. The quality of work life for lecturers in Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon in overall and each of six aspects was an the high level. 2. There was no significant difference in overall and each of six aspects of quality of work life between male and female lecturers. 3. There was no significant difference in overall and each of six aspects of quality of work life for lecturers with different marital status. 4. There was no significant difference in overall and each of six aspects of quality of work life for lecturers with difference work experiences. When examining in each aspect, the quality of work life in adequate and economics of teachers with 10 years of more of work experiences were statistically significant higher than those with less than 10 years work experiences at .05 leve 5. There was no significant difference in overall and each of six aspects of quality of work life for lecturers with difference educational level" When examining in each aspect, the quality of work life in adequate and economics for lecturers with bachelor's degree was statistically significant higher than those with master degree or higher at .05 level. 6. There was no significant difference in overall and each of six aspects of quality of work life for lecturers with difference family income. When examining in each aspect, the quality of work life in competency development and relationship with peers of instructors with high family income was statistically significant higher than those with low family income at .05 level.
