The purpose of this study was studied the Effects of the Job Preparation Program to Enhance Readiness for Job Application of third year students in Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon. The sample consisted of 30 third-year students in Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, second semester academic year 2013, whose scores on the Readiness for Job Application questionnaire were below the 75th percentile and voluntarily participated in the Job Preparation Program . The sample was randomly assigned to form the control and the experimental groups, 15 students in each group. The instruments used in this study were: 1. the Job Preparation Program, 2. Job Readiness for Job Application questionnaire, 3. Student’s opinions towards Job Preparation Program. Statistical techniques used to analyze data were mean, standard deviation, t-test.
The findings revealed that: 1) Scores on Readiness for Job Application questionnaire of the experimental group after the experiment were significantly higher than their scores before the experiment at the 0.05 level. 2) After the experiment, scores on Readiness for Job Application questionnaire of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group at the 0.05 level. 3) The experimental group reported that the program facilitated them in understanding their interests, career personality, skills, aptitude, job values, the world of work, techniques and methods for job application. Their knowledge and experiences would assist them in applying for job and further personal development.
