This research aimed to study students' opinions towards the Cheer and Admission Conference and present a creative recruitment model for students of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon. The sample group was undergraduate students of The Faculty of Science and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, with 376 students studying in 2019. The data collection tools were questionnaires of students' opinions on the activities. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to examine the whole questionnaire's reliability yielding a value of 0.83. A statistical package for analyzing data collected from January to February 2020 was used with the statistics, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA).
The research results found that:
1. The Pros and Cons of students’ opinions on the freshman orientation activities and cheer meetings were that freshmen get to know friends and seniors; freshmen are afraid of juniors and seniors.
2. Male and female students had different opinions about organizing activities for freshman recruiting and cheered meeting.
3. Students studying in different disciplines had no different opinions on organizing new freshman activities and cheer meeting.
4. Students studying in different year levels had the same opinion on organizing new recruiting activities and cheer meeting.
5. Features of the creative recruiting activities format are as follows:
5.1 It is an activity that gives importance to safety and respect for personal freedom.
5.2 It is the responsibility of the Faculty to closely watch this field of study
5.3 It is an activity that promotes pride in being a student at the university.
5.4 It is an activity that helps students to adjust to university life and aims to foster a good relationship between students, seniors, and juniors.
5.5 An outside activity must be an event organized by a faculty or university department only.
