Surveying Student’s Attitude and Evaluation on Remedial Program in Technical English 1
Abstract
The purpose of this research study is to investigate student’ attitude and evaluation on remedial program in Technical English 1. 10 subject in this experiment were each first-year Computer Technology and Mechanical Technology undergraduate students at Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, North Bangkok Campus. The group was divided into 2 groups of 5 student each according to their major subject. The group was divided into 2 groups of 5 students each according to their major subject. The instruments used for data collection were questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. When students learned English, they used a remedial program through Web Based Instruction. The questionnaire and semi-structured interviews were given to the students after finishing the remedial program. The finding of this research study revealed that computer Technology undergraduate students used more e-Learning than Mechanical Technology students. Mechanical Technology undergraduate students attitude toward the remedial program are more positive than Computer Technology undergraduate students. Both groups were satisfied with respondent evaluation immediately.
Suggestions and implications concerning how to adapt the remedial program through website and how to use e-Learning are give.
