dc.description.abstract | The purposes ofthis research were to study and compare the need of the lecturer's welfare and benefit organizing in Rajamangala University ofTechnology Phra Nakhon under the Teacher Reforms of the Ministry ofEducation in four aspects, namely, lecturers' life-quality improvement, moral and mental supports, profession stability, and salary and other fringe benefits improvement. The sample consisted of lecturers of Rajamangala University ofTechnology Phra Nakhon employed during the academic year 2008, selected by stratified random sampling technique; and the sample size of228 lecturers was chosen according to Krejcie and Morgan's tables (Krejcie and Morgan, 1970 : 607-910). The tool used for collecting data was Likert 5-level rating scale questionnaire. The statistics used in this research were percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Tukey-Kramer test. The research revealed as follows. 1.The lecturers needed high level of welfare and benefit organizing in the overall aspects and in each aspect, namely, lecturers' life-quality improvement, moral and mental supports, profession stability, and salary and other fringe benefits improvement. 2.The lecturers who had different sexes, ages, and marital status also had different needs in overall and each aspects without significant difference. On the contrary, the lecturers with different educational qualifications had different needs in overall and each aspects with significant difference at the level of .05. The lecturers who had different working experiences also had different needs in overall aspects with significant difference at the level of .05. When considering each aspect, it was found that the lecturers needed their life-quality improvement, compared to moral and mental supports differently with significant level at .05. When doing pairwise comparison, it was found that the lecturers with under Io-Year-working experience had higher needs than, and had different needs from those with 10 to 20-year-working experience. | en_US |
