The aims of this research are to review environment of floating market management, to analyze potential of sustainable management, and to develop strategies for developing sustainable management of Wat Takien Floating Market. Data were gathered by observations, interviews, focus groups and questionnaires and analyzed with Descriptive Analysis for Means, Standard Deviations, Factor Analysis and Canonical Correlation Analysis. Results were as follows: 1) Bangkuvieng canal on the eastern side of the market still has a nice natural view. The community cooperated well with each other. The market is organized by the temple committee which was found not to be well arranged at some point. 2) Factors that affect the potential of sustainable management of Wat Takien Floating Market include currect economic condition, community, local houses along the canal side, Bangkuvieng canal geography, policy and participation in management, temple architecture, inland walkway, live Thai classical music band, food and price of local product. 3) Strategies for developing sustainable management of Wat Takien Floating Market consisted of strategy for developing the floating market along with Buddhist traditions, strategy for setting reasonable prices for local goods, and strategy for organizing boat trip activity.
