The Inventory Control System of S. SIRISEANG Company Limited

Abstract

The purposes of this study were: 1. to study the inventory control system of S. Siriseang Company Limited 2. to study the causes and problems of differences between the real practical work and the company manual 3. to solve the problem of its inventory control system. The questionnaires were collected from 19 subjects relating to the inventory control system including purchasing, storing,accounting and sales departments .The results showed that S. Siriseang Company Limited has 4 steps of the inventory control system, consisting of Order., Products, Return and Pickup. The problems of the inventory control system of S. Siriseang Company Limited are as follows; a lack of inventory data, lack of purchasing planning and procurement , a defective product categories, issues out, lack of staff, and neglecting to perform the work according to the work manual. The solutions of the problems were 1. sheet items (Stock card) 2. the theory of ABC Analysis 3. the theory EOQ and 4. the process of inventory control system. The effective inventory control system should have the good management system and effective product categories for easy storage and use.
