Devdlopment of ordering food on iPad : a case study of huapla chongnonsea restaurant

Abstract

The objectives of this research were (1) to develop food ordering system on ipad for Huapla Chongnonsea Restaurant to meet the demands of both administrators and users, and(2) to study satisfaction with the system ot administrators and users in terms of aesthetic and usability of the foof ordering system on iPad. The system development was diveded into two parts. The mobile application on iPad was developed with Objective-C and used XCode as developing tools with SOLite as the database management system on iPad. An application on server was developed with C#.NET and used Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 as developing tools with Microsoft SOL Server 2008 R2 as the database management system on server. The purposively sampling group consisted of 2 administrators (manager and cashier) and 10 users (customers of the restaurant). Results from the trial and evaluation of the system showed that administrators' satisfaction in aesthetic aspect was in a very high while satisfaction in usability was in high level.On the other hand, users' satisfaction in aesthetic and usability was in high level.
