This study aims to survey the demand of the sub district administrative staffs in Phitsanulok province for self-development about administrative knowledge. The result showed that the essential knowledge for administration in the sub district administration organization requested via staffs was divided into 7 aspects. Knowledge development in financial accounting and taxation, computer, management, profession, education, public health, and environment was in the high level requirement, whereas they have a medium level need for marketing knowledge improvement. Computer and the Internet were the highest requests. The follow was the knowledge about waste management. The effective and proper methods for knowledge development should be two day workshop in weekday (Monday to Friday) and the most available time was daytime (08:00–16:00). The speakers should be the government or public organization rather than private sector. The most proper total budgets (including food, drink, and documents) for workshop ranged from 500–1,000 baht.
